About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Sales to lead and drive business growth within the industrial distribution sector across the UK. This is a strategic role where you will be responsible for developing and executing a national sales strategy, managing a high-performing sales team, and expanding market share within key industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership – Develop and implement a national sales strategy to drive revenue and market growth.
  • Team Management – Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
  • Business Development – Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strengthening the company’s presence in the industrial distribution market.
  • Account Management – Maintain and expand relationships with key customers, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Performance & Reporting – Set KPIs, track performance, and provide regular reports on sales growth and market trends.
  • Market Strategy – Analyse industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to shape business strategies.
  • Commercial Negotiations – Oversee pricing strategies and major contract negotiations to maximise profitability.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the industrial distribution, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
  • A strong track record of leading and developing sales teams to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Deep understanding of industrial products, supply chains, and distribution channels.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in P&L management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to drive new business while maintaining key client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
